Job Summary
MRI technologist contract responsible for operating MRI and related equipment, preparing patients, translating examinations into lay terms when needed, obtaining consent if necessary, performing radiographic exams following SOPs, positioning patients, monitoring safety and patient condition, documenting history and exam details, transferring images to film/archival media, labeling images with correct side and date, maintaining logs, and completing required tracking steps; requires graduation from an approved Radiologic Technology program, NY and/or CT licensure, ARRT registration, and minimum one year of radiologic-exams experience.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program
- New York State and/or Connecticut Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration
- Minimum of one (1) year experience performing radiologic exams
