Job Summary
Supervise students in assigned areas, designated zones, and throughout the building and grounds to maintain a safe and orderly setting. Intervene in aggressive situations, warn misbehavior, and isolate students as needed while reinforcing positive social habits. Monitor cafeteria behavior, ensure proper bus loading and unloading, and check playground equipment for safety. Notify office personnel immediately of emergencies, unauthorized persons, or injuries requiring first aid. Prevent unauthorized departures and enforce rules regarding smoking policies and vehicle ticketing. Lift and move objects up to 60 pounds regularly and perform physical tasks requiring climbing, bending, and reaching. Maintain excellent attendance, promptness, and a positive attitude with sound judgment.

- Demonstrate an ability to work with children in a positive manner
- Have basic knowledge of student special needs, if applicable
- Have excellent relationships with administration, employees, students, parents and the public
- Practice superior work habits: excellent attendance & promptness, highly dependable, adaptable as needed

- Must be able to lift, push or pull objects up to 40-60 pounds on a regular and repetitive basis and lift, push or pull objects on an occasional basis of 100 or more pounds
- Must be able to speak, hear, see, write, walk, climb, stand, stoop, kneel, bend, twist, turn, push, pull and reach (above head and below knees) on a regular and repetitive basis
- Tasks require extensive use of hands including repetitive gripping, grasping, lifting and manipulation of equipment necessary to perform duties
