.7 FTE Art Teacher One Year Position

Elementary Art Substitute Teacher (one-year appointment) for grades K-4 at Harwinton Consolidated School, reporting to the building principal. Responsibilities include developing and implementing lessons aligned to the National Core Arts Standards, fostering creativity, modeling art techniques, adapting instruction for diverse learners, assessing student progress, communicating with parents, managing classroom materials, participating in district/professional development activities, and leading an Art Show in the Spring. Requires a Bachelor's degree in education or related subject and CT Endorsement: 042 Art Education, Pre-K–12. The role supports district and professional learning communities and involves attendance at meetings and 1-year commitment for the 2026-2027 school year.
