Job Summary
Work with individual or small groups of students as directed by the ELL teacher or classroom teacher in all academic areas. Assist the ELL teacher in developing learning materials, activities, and centers, including reproducing curriculum reports. Support certified staff in preparing written reports, maintaining student files, and performing other duties assigned by the ELL teacher or principal. Schedule follows the school calendar with 180 days per year; Spanish speaking ability is preferred. This role supports the Kearney Public Schools district in serving English language learners.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to communicate effectively with students and families
- Ability and desire to work with students who are non- or limited English speaking
- Excellent organizational and student supervision skills
