7-12 Special Needs Aide

Job Summary
Provide academic and behavioral support to students in a 7–12 setting (Celina Middle School to Celina High School, eventually under one roof). Assist individual or small groups with academic tasks, self-help skills, mobility, communication, and social interactions; reinforce classroom routines and expectations; maintain confidentiality of student records; participate in required training such as CPI, First Aid/CPR, and related professional development; communicate professionally with students, staff, and parents; collaborate with a team of educators to support access to the general curriculum and student independence.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Educational Aide Permit from the Ohio Department of Education (with ESEA endorsement if applicable)
- Experience working with students with disabilities preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team of educators
- Physical ability to perform assigned duties (may include lifting or physical restraint if needed)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Training in de-escalation, first aid/CPR, or CPI preferred (or willingness to complete)
