Job Summary
Temporary 6th Grade Teacher position in Clatskanie, OR for the 2026-27 school year. Responsible for planning and delivering standards-based instruction, maintaining an effective classroom environment, collaborating with administration, staff, and parents, and meeting district policies and assessments. Requires maintaining current licenses/certificates, implementing research-based instructional practices, developing lesson plans aligned to course goals, providing timely feedback, and participating in professional growth activities. Demonstrates professionalism, effective communication in English, and the ability to work with diverse populations.
Required Qualifications
- A valid State of Oregon Teaching License appropriate for the position with the correct endorsement
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- The ability to follow oral and written instructions
- The ability to effectively work and communicate with students, parents, and school personnel from diverse cultures and/or backgrounds
- The ability to work harmoniously with others
- Proficient oral and written communication skills in English
- Proficient in the use of computer and Internet based applications, including but not limited to email and systems applications
- The ability to learn new automated systems as they are brought online by the District
- Maintain integrity of confidential information relating to students, staff, or district patrons
