6th Grade Science/Social Studies Teacher

Plan and deliver 6th-grade science and social studies instruction aligned with state and parish curriculum requirements. Manage classroom routines, transitions, and behavior to maximize instructional time while accommodating individual learner differences. Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for special education students, coordinate IEP meetings, and provide research-based instruction to address specific instructional goals. Monitor student progress through ongoing assessments, provide timely feedback, and grade assignments in accordance with board policies. Supervise students during all campus activities, including before school, recess, lunch, and after-school periods. Collaborate regularly with instructional staff, parents, and community resources to improve student outcomes and maintain accurate service records.
