Job Summary
Teach 6th grade math with emphasis on Algebra concepts; develop and implement lesson plans aligned to district curriculum; assess student learning and adjust instruction based on assessment results; collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula for students with IEPs; work with staff to set instructional goals and provide guidance to instructional aides/volunteers; manage classroom environment and student behavior; communicate professionally with parents and students; participate in staff development and comply with district/school policies; sponsor extracurricular activities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Valid Tennessee teaching license
- Applicable endorsement for subject area if required
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- Student teaching, approved internship, or related work experience
