6th Grade Language Arts Teacher

Develop and administer the middle school curriculum consistent with district goals, creating flexible lesson plans and translating them into engaging learning experiences. Conduct ongoing assessments of student learning to modify instructional methods for individual needs, including small group instruction for students with special requirements. Maintain accurate records for grading, reporting, and attendance while administering standardized tests in accordance with district programs. Facilitate student success by promoting a safe classroom environment, encouraging parental involvement, and ensuring student conduct aligns with school standards. Coordinate with grade-level staff to evaluate curriculum and participate in faculty meetings, while selecting instructional aids and managing inventory.
