Job Summary
6th grade ELA teacher responsible for delivering rigorous content in a 1:1 blended learning environment, setting ambitious goals and monitoring student growth, providing regular communication with families, and collaborating with colleagues to plan lessons, support student achievement, and ensure a safe, engaging classroom. The role requires building relationships with students and families, conducting weekly tutorials, supervising campus activities, and participating in professional development to improve student learning. Must hold a Bachelor’s degree and Texas Educator Certification (or be pursuing certification).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university recognized by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB)
- Texas Educator Certification, or willing to join ACP to get certified
- Strong ability to navigate web-related applications and technology
- Ability to instruct students using a variety of technology applications and platforms
- Desire to disrupt systemic status quos in education
