Job Summary
Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum and Texas Education Agency guidelines, adapting materials for diverse learning styles and special education needs. Conduct ongoing assessments of student achievement through formal and informal testing to guide instructional strategies. Manage student behavior in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct while creating a classroom environment conducive to intellectual, emotional, and social growth. Direct instructional aides and volunteers, compile required reports, and establish open communication with parents and colleagues. Participate in staff development activities and faculty meetings to support professional growth.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for subject and level assigned
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- Knowledge of core academic subject assigned
- Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred one year student teaching or approved internship
