Job Summary
Conduct night shift coverage on a Level 1 trauma unit with 12-hour shifts, three times weekly, and a 50% weekend schedule. Maintain 24 months of nursing experience, including 12 months in Medical Surgical and 1 month in Level 1 trauma settings, with 3 months of Epic system proficiency. Submit only if you hold an Iowa or compact license, reside over 60 miles from the University of Iowa Hospitals facility, and meet the 24-month gap requirement from the University of Iowa Hospitals Direct Program. This 13-week travel assignment begins October 19, 2026, with a maximum of 14 days off.
Required Qualifications
- 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with any experience within the last 36 months (3 years)
- 3 months of Epic experience
- 1 months of Trauma Level 1 facility
- Iowa license or compact license
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Registered license
- 1 Reference from the most recent place of employment
- 2 Manager/Supervisor references
- Proof of identification
- 50% weekend shifts
- 10/19 start date or later
- 14 days maximum time off
- Live >60 miles from facility
- No current placement at Program: University of Iowa Hospitals (Direct) Program - Main
- 24 months gap required between for Staff at Program: University of Iowa Hospitals (Direct) Program - Main
