Job Summary
Complete operational lot control procedures, archive quality records, and perform in-process product audits according to specifications. Create 1st article inspection reports, conduct periodic process audits, and assist shift personnel with quality issues and measurement techniques. Resolve customer problems as requested and manage NCMR requests, deviation procedures, and pre-production approval protocols. Input accurate data into databases and apply knowledge of blueprints and measurement equipment. Work in a loud environment with occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts while accommodating non-standard hours.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of one year experience in a production/manufacturing environment
- Certified Quality Auditor certificate
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Ability to read a limited number of two-and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers
- Ability to print and speak simple sentences
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office
- Experience with imputing data into dbases systems
- Ensure consistent, dependable attendance
- Demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary
- Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions
- Must be knowledgeable with startup procedures, customer specifications, cosmetics criteria, rejection report procedures, and end of run procedures
- Must be able to complete and close a NCMR request, the DHR procedure, the deviation procedure, how to write and stag a customer return, and how to complete pre-production approval protocols
- Responsible for accurate data input into databases
- Must have knowledge of blueprints applications and the use of measurement equipment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in plastic injection and/or blow molding
- Some related college
