6GR Structural Welders

Layout and mark weld points on parts using rulers, squares, and templates. Position pieces into jigs and fixtures with measuring instruments, clamp, tack-weld, grind, and bolt components for welding. Operate cutting equipment including torches, grinders, overhead cranes, and welding machines while safely removing rough spots. Examine workpieces for defects and measure them to ensure conformance with specifications. Assemble components with minimal supervision, maintain a clean and organized work area, and execute daily work instructions from the supervisor. Work effectively to meet productivity goals while maintaining high quality standards and practicing safety procedures in accordance with training.
