Job Summary
Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care; coordinates patient care with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality; supports Mercy's mission and standards; ensures licensure and certifications are current and met per unit requirements; performs duties with attention to professional accountability, teamwork, and compassionate care; prepares for and maintains ongoing certifications such as BLS and ACLS/NRP/ENPC/TNCC/CPHON/OCN as required by the position/unit; physical requirements include lifting, standing, and mobility as part of routine care.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a school of nursing with either an Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN
- Current RN license in hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Basic Life Support certification (AHA) or within 30 days of hire
- ACLs/NRP/ENPC/TNCC/CPHON/OCN/BLS/PALS/PEARS/S.T.A.B.L.E./C-EFM or other unit-specific certifications as required
