Job Summary
Registered Nursing Consultant responsible for reviewing complaints and applying state and federal nursing laws and agency policies to determine regulatory action. Duties include inputting data into the VR complaint system, drafting correspondence to complainants, coordinating with field and central office staff, identifying patterns or trends, and advising on nursing standards and procedures. Requires nursing licensure and four years of professional nursing experience; bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred. May involve emergency/disaster duties and possible off-hours work; position is mission essential and operates within AHCA's Bureau of Field Operations, Division of Health Quality Assurance in Florida.
Required Qualifications
- Licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in accordance with Florida Statute 464
- Four years of professional nursing experience required
- Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
