Job Summary
Advocate for and support adults 22 and over with intellectual and developmental disabilities by assisting with household maintenance, meal prep, shopping, bathing, toileting, dressing, and medication administration. Follow Behavior Support Plans, Individual Support Plans, and medical guidelines while safely evacuating individuals during emergencies. Assist clients with medical appointments, banking, community outings, and ensure they look and feel their best. Maintain certifications in CPR, First Aid, Defensive Driving, and Medication Administration, adhering to Agency policies and DDS regulations. Work flexible schedules including holidays, overnights, or double-shifts to meet program needs.
Required Qualifications
- Commitment to assisting people with varying disabilities to participate fully in their community and in their own lives
- Varied interests and personal connections in the local community
- Proven record of conscientious, responsible behavior (work, volunteer or school history)
- Ability to work as a creative, engaged, dedicated member of the team
- 21+
- reliable transportation
- valid driver's license
- High School Diploma or GED

- demonstrate that they can perform the essential functions of the job
- speak, read, and write in fluent English
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the program and individuals supported
