Job Summary
Anchor evening newscasts with professionalism, credibility, and personality while shooting, writing, and editing franchise packages. Deliver live reports during breaking news and severe weather coverage, and write and proofread scripts to ensure accuracy and strong storytelling. Collaborate with producers and newsroom leadership to produce compelling broadcasts, mentor less-experienced staff, and create engaging content for digital and social media platforms. Represent WWAY at community events and public appearances. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required. Required Qualifications
- Previous professional television news anchoring and reporting experience
- Strong live reporting and ad-lib skills
- Excellent writing, editorial judgment, and communication skills
- Active and engaging presence on social media
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- DMV background check
- Criminal background check

- Experience with newsroom systems such as ENPS
