Job Summary
Conduct daily personal care and household maintenance for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including bathing, meal prep, and medication administration. Assist clients with medical appointments, banking, and community outings while strictly following Behavior Support Plans and Individual Support Plans. Safely evacuate individuals during emergencies and maintain all required certifications in CPR, first aid, and defensive driving. Work flexible shifts including holidays and double shifts to meet program needs.
Required Qualifications
- Commitment to assisting people with varying disabilities to participate fully in their community and in their own lives
- Varied interests and personal connections in the local community
- Proven record of conscientious, responsible behavior (work, volunteer or school history)
- Ability to work as a creative, engaged, dedicated member of the team
- Must be 21+
- reliable transportation
- valid driver's license
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience working in a residential setting with highly behavioral individuals
- knowledge, skills and abilities listed above
- demonstrate that they can perform the essential functions of the job
- able to speak, read, and write in fluent English
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the program and individuals supported
- This may include holidays, overnights, or double shifts
