Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify educational needs of individual children and recommend goals for Individual Education Programs. Perform assessments including environmental, assistive technology, and sensory processing evaluations to design treatment plans. Implement physical therapy services and monitor progress within Individual Behavior Plans while collaborating with classroom teachers to incorporate therapeutic activities into natural settings. Provide consultation to teachers and administrators, collect and summarize student performance data, and maintain accurate paperwork for Medicaid billing. Adhere to federal, state, and local policies, including due process guidelines and professional ethical standards. Engage in professional growth activities to maintain licensure and complete mandatory district training.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in physical therapy from an accredited institution
- National Board Certification
- experience in pediatrics
- Certification as required by the South Carolina Board of Physical Therapists LLR
- Manual dexterity to enter data into a computer
- Ability to see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids
- Ability to hear and understand speech at normal workplace levels, outdoors and on the telephone
- Ability to speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in normal workplaces, outdoors and on the telephone
- Physical agility to lift up to 40 pounds
- Must exhibit manual dexterity to enter data into a computer
- Ability to see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids
- Ability to hear and understand speech at normal workplace levels, outdoors and on the telephone
- Ability to speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in normal workplaces, outdoors and on the telephone
