Job Summary

Establish a classroom structure and culture that supports positive relationships and removes barriers to success for all students. Design and implement a wide variety of appropriate intervention activities for students of varying abilities, while planning, preparing, and delivering lessons that facilitate active learning. Monitor individual student progress, provide feedback, and adjust teaching strategies based on data collected from benchmarking and progress monitoring. Communicate regularly with students, colleagues, and parents regarding student needs, and help facilitate data team meetings with all stakeholders to support Multi-Tiered Systems of Support. This role serves as the educational leader at Mill Creek Academy, a K-5 district educating approximately 230 students, focusing on math and reading intervention instruction during the 2026-2027 school year.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Elementary Education
  • Valid MI Teaching Certificate

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous classroom and intervention teaching experience and/or experience working with elementary-aged children
  • Have experience working within or training in a trauma-informed school culture
