6-8 Special Education Associate - North Middle

Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning and skills initially introduced by the teacher. Assist in devising strategies based on individual student needs, support skill generalization in integrated settings, and implement behavior support plans. Guide independent, enrichment, and remedial work while distributing materials and operating classroom equipment. Read to students, participate in oral communication, and assist with lunch, snack, cleanup, and personal care routines. Supervise students during emergency drills, assemblies, play periods, and field trips, and serve as the primary resource for substitute teachers. Collect accurate data, maintain ethical confidentiality, and commit to ongoing professional growth. Operate a 7-hour daily schedule with a 30-minute unpaid lunch.
