Job Summary
Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning initially introduced by the teacher and assist in devising strategies based on individual needs. Guide independent, enrichment, and remedial work while implementing behavior support plans and collecting accurate data. Distribute materials, read to students, and supervise activities during drills, assemblies, and field trips. Assist with lunch, snack, and cleanup routines, and operate classroom equipment. Serve as the chief source of information to substitute teachers and maintain ethical confidentiality. Commit to ongoing professional growth to support unique student needs.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma, preferred
- Experience as an associate, preferred
- Demonstrate effective communication skills
- Demonstrate collaborative skills in a team environment
- Support PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Support) for all students in all settings
- Maintain the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected of fully licensed teachers
- Commit to ongoing professional growth to support the unique needs of individual students
