Job Summary
Directly support students with disabilities under the supervision of a licensed special education teacher. Assist in implementing IEPs, supervise students indoors/outdoors, reinforce academic skills with individuals or small groups, assist with activities of daily living, implement behavioral intervention plans and de-escalation strategies, collect data on student goals, and collaborate with case managers, teachers, PT/OT/SLP, and other staff. Participate in required professional development and may be reassigned to different students or classrooms as needed. Wages range $21.07–$22.63 per hour, with a 6.5-hour/day schedule at Centerville Elementary.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma required
- Have at least two years of college credits (usually 60 credits) through an accredited institution of higher education; or Hold an associate's degree or higher; or Have a passing score on an approved, formal assessment (ParaPro or Paraeducator Assessment)
