Job Summary
Conduct focused literacy instruction in English and provide sheltered exposure to academic content for 6-12 ESL students with limited formal schooling and low native language literacy. Establish a safe and nurturing learning environment where background knowledge, language, and culture are valued while orienting students and families to the school and community. Work alongside staff, parents, and volunteers to ensure the best education experience for all students within the Lansing School District's diverse urban community.
