Job Summary
Literacy Interventionist teaches Strategic Reading and related intervention courses for grades 6–10, delivering targeted reading interventions in small groups and one-on-one settings. Collaborates with classroom teachers to implement evidence-based reading interventions, monitors student progress with district assessments, analyzes literacy data to inform instruction, and participates in intervention planning meetings. Responsibilities include administering and analyzing literacy screenings, maintaining records of intervention services, supporting district literacy initiatives, and engaging in professional learning related to literacy instruction and MTSS/RTI frameworks. The role requires a valid Arkansas teaching license and entails contract-days and salary determined according to district policy.
Required Qualifications
