Job Summary
Fifth-grade teacher responsible for delivering social studies and math instruction aligned to state standards; plan and deliver rigorous lessons, assess student mastery, track progress, and update grades weekly; communicate student progress with families; implement a consistent behavior management system; participate in weekly meetings, after-school duties, tutoring options, and district-wide learning initiatives; leverage technology to support learning and engage students; require teaching certification and a bachelor's degree; responsibilities include alignment to IDEA curricula and assessments, lesson planning two weeks in advance for feedback, and supporting school culture and family engagement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (required)
- Teaching certification
- K-12 classroom experience (strongly preferred)
- Reading Academies certification for teachers of record in K-3 or willingness to obtain TX training within required timelines
- Bilingual certification strongly preferred, ESL certification preferred (not required)
