Job Summary
Power Engineer 5th Class responsible for monitoring and maintaining building and medical-related systems and associated equipment in a 5th class plant. Requires a 5th Class Power Engineering certificate and a minimum of two years of maintenance experience in electrical, carpentry, plumbing, heating, or air-conditioning. Must be proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and equipment manuals, and knowledgeable about safe work legislation, Fire Codes, CSA standards, and preventive maintenance. Able to operate within a fast-paced environment, demonstrate initiative, maintain high attention to detail, communicate effectively, and work both independently and in a team. On-call availability with potential evening and weekend shifts; may require travel to other regional facilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook is expected, along with a valid Class 5 driver’s license and access to a vehicle.”,
Required Qualifications
- Power Engineering - 5th Class Certificate as recognized by the Province of Manitoba
- Minimum two (2) years' experience in a maintenance position
- Experience with electrical, carpentry, plumbing, heating, or air-conditioning
- Knowledge of blueprints, diagrams, equipment manuals; ability to read and interpret them
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications and Outlook
- Valid Class 5 driver's license (or equivalent) and access to vehicle may be required
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team
- Good safety and safe-work practices knowledge
- Ability to respond to on-call requirements and travel to other regional facilities as needed
