Job Summary
Load and unload freight in a productive, safe, and claims-free manner while maximizing space, as dock workers do not work inside a warehouse. Complete pre and post trip inspections on all dock equipment and properly document all freight control processes. Participate in Dayton Freight's training and improvement programs and adhere to the operational procedures contained in the Driver/Dockworker Manual. Be available for irregular work schedules, alternating shifts, and assignments. This part-time role offers flexible Monday through Friday shifts from 5:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age
- Basic math skills
- Fluent in English
- Able to pass a drug screen
- Be available for irregular work schedules, alternating work shifts and/or assignments
- Ascending and descending from forklifts
- Operating forklifts
