Job Summary
Support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities by assisting with household maintenance, meal prep, shopping, personal hygiene, and medication administration. Follow Behavior Support Plans, Individual Support Plans, and medical guidelines while advocating for community participation, including attending medical appointments and outings. Safely evacuate individuals during emergencies and maintain compliance with Agency policies and DDS regulations. Complete paid orientation, CPR/First Aid, and program-specific training at the individual's home. Work part-time (32 hours) on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 1p-11p, 3p-11p, and 9a-11p, respectively.
Required Qualifications
- 21+
- reliable transportation
- valid driver's license
- High School Diploma or GED
- Employees must possess the knowledge, skills and abilities listed above
- demonstrate that they can perform the essential functions of the job
- Employee must be able to speak, read, and write in fluent English
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the program and individuals supported
- This may include holidays, overnights, or double-shifts
