Job Summary
Security Officer L1 at an on-site data center role responsible for protecting personnel and property, managing access control, monitoring CCTV, responding to incidents, and producing concise written reports. Duties include patrols, verifying identification for employees/visitors/vendors, maintaining security technologies, conducting audits, assisting Shipping & Receiving, responding to emergencies, and following security procedures per management policies. Requires client-facing conduct, ability to work night shifts (Sunday-Tuesday 7pm-7am; Wednesday 7pm-1am), and active certifications within six months. Must be able to operate in a fast-paced, confidential data center environment with high attention to detail and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Prior security experience (1 year in Data Center or similar environment preferred)
- Active certifications such as Certified Security Guard (CSG) or Certified Protection Officer (CPO) to be obtained within six months
- Ability to pass background check and drug test
- Must possess or become forklift certified (NTT will provide training)
- Ability to work on-site and flexible schedule including weekends/nights/holidays
- Strong observation, communication, and teamwork skills
- Proficiency with CCTV, access control systems, and Microsoft Office applications
