Job Summary
The Facilities Engineer coordinates and performs property and facilities maintenance and project activities. Responsibilities include interior/exterior building walk-throughs, maintaining cleanliness of facility areas, supervising contract and direct staff for janitorial and facility tasks, coordinating with suppliers for restocking of facility items, and performing preventive maintenance on HVAC, lighting, and plumbing. The role involves documenting daily tasks in work order systems, supporting KPI and budget targets, assisting with event setup and breakdown, and ensuring compliance with safety standards (OSHA, NFPA 70E). Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, operate PPE and equipment, and work onsite with potential after-hours coverage and occasional travel.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Associates degree OR 2-3 years of trade school or technical vocational training with earned certificate or equivalent
- Hand and Machine tool experience
- Fire and Life/Safety experience preferred
- Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus
