Job Summary
Regional ICT Engineer responsible for the centralized ownership, harmonization, and end-to-end service delivery of Network Reference Designs for the AMER region, aligned with Global Reference Design standards. Develop foundational communications infrastructure documentation supporting AMER GDC new construction projects; coordinate with design/construction managers, sales, client fit-out groups, and external consultants to ensure codes and standards are applied while minimizing lead times and costs and delivering a high-quality client experience. Produce and govern network reference documentation, policies, procedures, and methodologies; create as-built documentation; plan ICT infrastructure projects; represent the GDC Network Design function in the AMER region as a technical authority. Required skills include passive infrastructure design (ducting, fiber, CAR, IT rooms, MMR/CMMR, structured cabling), proficiency with Visio, AutoCAD, BIM 360, and budgeting/cost-control capabilities; strong leadership and project-management abilities; excellent written and verbal communication; ability to translate business needs into cost-effective infrastructure solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of combined management and hands-on Passive Infrastructure Telecom management experience
- Strong expertise in data center or telecommunications passive infrastructure environments
- Proven experience in design, installation, and commissioning of passive infrastructure assets (ducting, fiber, CAR, IT Room, MMR/CMMR, structured cabling)
- Proficiency with design and documentation tools such as Visio, AutoCAD, CRM platforms, or equivalent solutions
- Experience in developing and executing strategic policies and documentation
- Certifications recommended (BICSI RCDD, DCDC, or OSP) are helpful but not required
