Job Summary

Advocate for students meeting Section 504 requirements by serving as a liaison across faculty and parents to secure appropriate services and accommodations. Convene eligibility meetings to collect data, develop individual accommodation plans, and coordinate Child Find efforts with regular education and EC staff. Maintain necessary forms including referrals, parental consent, and individual accommodation plans while monitoring plan implementation across classroom settings. Provide staff development on identifying students in need and coordinate efforts regarding testing modifications and scheduling. Attend required annual training and participate on the school's Intervention Team.

Required Qualifications

  • Holds or is eligible to hold a valid NC Educator License
  • Attends required annual training
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
