Job Summary
Own end-to-end design, development, and production release of interior components for Roof Systems, including component design, packaging, and Bill of Materials maintenance. Lead DVPR testing, change management, and issues management while managing CAD models in Teamcenter. Drive weight and cost reduction initiatives, support vehicle assembly plants for technical issues, and assist service teams with root cause analysis of field warranty failures. Collaborate with PDO, Sciences, suppliers, and OEMs to meet program timing and deliverables for mechatronics functions such as switches, sensors, and power hatches.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and or MBA
- 1 to 3 years in reviewing, validating, and releasing designs for automotive components (Roof Systems)
- Mechatronics experience on: Manual Park Release, Active Damping Air Suspension, Swithches, Sensors, Lighting, Seats, Outside Rearview Mirror, Power Hatch, Liftgate, Sunroof, Power Top
- Experience or general knowledge on: switches electrical seat controls, sensors, and electrical functions: electronic diagrams, software, testing of mechatronics components (durability, thermal)
- Experience with NX, Catia V5, and Teamcenter
- Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles
- PBOM, eBOM, DVP&R, and technical sheets management
- Electrical Module Hardware and Software development
- DFMEA, DVP&R creation and execution
- Intermediate-advanced English (technical comprehension and international team communication)
- Valid visa is optional
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Tier 1 suppliers and OEMs
- Knowledge of style freeze processes and theme evaluation
- In-plant experience (tool tryouts, assembly, program launch)
- Familiarity with automotive quality standards (e.g., IATF 16949)
- Experience on commodities like infotainment, connectivity, embedded will be valuable as well
