Job Summary
Conduct end-to-end ownership of Cockpit Control and Sensors components, managing design, development, packaging, and production release. Execute DVPR testing, maintain Bill of Materials, and oversee change management within Teamcenter CAD models. Drive weight and cost reduction initiatives while supporting vehicle assembly plants and service teams for root cause analysis of field warranty issues. Collaborate with suppliers to meet program timing and deliverables for mechatronics systems including switches, sensors, and seats. Communicate technical product status to management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and or MBA
- 1 to 3 years in reviewing, validating, and releasing designs for automotive components (Cockpit)
- Mechatronics experience on: Manual Park Release, Active Damping Air Suspension, Swithches, Sensors, Lighting, Seats, Outside Rearview Mirror, Power Hatch, Liftgate, Sunroof, Power Top
- Experience or general knowledge on: switches electrical seat controls, sensors, and electrical functions: electronic diagrams, software, testing of mechatronics components (durability, thermal)
- Experience with NX, Catia V5, and Teamcenter
- Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles
- PBOM, eBOM, DVP&R, and technical sheets management
- Electrical Module Hardware and Software development
- DFMEA, DVP&R creation and execution
- Intermediate-advanced English (technical comprehension and international team communication)
- Valid visa is optional
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Tier 1 suppliers and OEMs
- Knowledge of style freeze processes and theme evaluation
- In-plant experience (tool tryouts, assembly, program launch)
- Familiarity with automotive quality standards (e.g., IATF 16949)
- Experience on commodities like infotainment, connectivity, embedded will be valuable as well
