Job Summary
5-Axis Machining Specialist who will program, set-up, and operate multi-axis CNC machines to manufacture intricate components with tight tolerances. Responsibilities include leading programming, setup, and operation on advanced CAM platforms (Mastercam, Esprit, Fusion360, Siemens NX), developing multi-axis toolpaths, overseeing machine setups and tooling, troubleshooting advanced machining and programming issues (collision avoidance, toolpath errors), optimizing processes for efficiency and precision, maintaining knowledge of materials and cutting dynamics, coordinating resources, and providing technical oversight to Manufacturing/Process Engineering Teams. The role also involves recruitment support with HR, cross-functional collaboration, and travel as required. Requires proficiency in CAD/CAM software, MT process knowledge, and willingness to travel up to 25% with passport ability.
Required Qualifications
- CNC programming skills including variable & macro programming
- Okuma, Fanuc control experience
- interfacing and optimizing gage feedback systems
- probing routines and Automation related CNC programming
- experience with statistical process and evaluation criteria (CpK)
- well versed in geometric tolerance
- ability to read and interpret part prints and tolerances
- strong understanding of metal cutting processing techniques
- cutting tool and fixture/workholding design
- CAD/CAM software skills (SolidWorks, Fusion360, Esprit, Mastercam, etc.) or similar experience
- demonstrated business writing, documentation skills and Project Management skills
- ability to participate as a member of a team
- valid Driver’s License with good driving history
- willingness to travel up to 25%, including out of state or out of country; required to obtain and maintain a valid passport
