Job Summary
Prepare meals according to recipes and Health Department guidelines, including cooking a la carte items, baking cookies, and filling vending machines. Serve children and staff during lunch, run the register, scan cards, collect payments, and restock food between serving times. Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, dishwashing rooms, and all surfaces, plus wash and store dishes. Prepare for the next day by pulling food from storage and filling vending machines. Generate daily sales reports, count money, balance receipts, make deposits, and save transactions to disc. Turn on equipment, check temperatures in coolers, and fill condiments and silverware. Maintain a safe, respectful environment honoring student diversity.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
Desired Qualifications
- Food preparation experience and/or experience in a school kitchen, commercial kitchen, or restaurant preferred
- Food Handler Certification for Colorado- preferred
- SERVSAFE Manager Certification within 90 days of hire
