Job Summary
Design Azure Landing Zone architecture and lead application modernization to Azure PaaS platforms, including migration of web applications to services like Azure App Service, Functions, and Kubernetes. Conduct application performance assessments pre- and post-migration, analyze dependencies, and configure hosting environments for containerized services. Collaborate with Enterprise Architect, DevOps, and Integration teams to ensure cloud adoption aligns with business and infrastructure goals while managing stakeholder requirements. Guide technical teams and deliver solution presentations covering commercial value and technical strategy.
Required Qualifications
- 13+ Years of development and app modernization experience
- Experience in hosting and configuring the applications on IIS
- Experience in modernization of Applications to Azure PaaS platform
- migration experience
- Expertise in application hosting, configuration, optimization in various Azure PaaS services: Azure App service, Azure Functions, Aure Kubernetes Service, Azure Container Instance
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to find alternate ways to reach the goals
- Ability to understand application architecture, dependencies, and integrations
- Should have led and managed the team with the size more than 5 members
- Should be able to guide the team technically
- Perfect understanding of application migration scenarios and pathways
- Should have basic DB knowledge
- Hands on web application development skills
- Hands on experience in developing and hosting web applications on Azure PaaS platform
- Primary database skills like database connectivity, configurations etc
- Ability to analyze application dependencies
- Well versed with containerizing web application frontend and web services
- Should know the nitty-gritties of hosting containerized application on Kubernetes
- Application performance assessment pre and post migration
- Ensure that the proposed solution covers Azure strategy, stakeholder management as well as the actual solution covering business, application and Infrastructure as well as commercial aspects (in terms of value for money and not commercial costing etc.)
- Understanding customer Infra landscape
- Design Azure Landing Zone and provide the Azure target state solution architecture
- Basic understanding of relational database concepts (tables, indexes, queries, stored procedures, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with at least one of SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL (installation, configuration, basic maintenance)
- Good customers connect
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills to manage customer calls

Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of cloud databases (e.g., Azure SQL, Azure Database for MySQL/PostgreSQL) is a plus, but not required
