Job Summary
Deliver Uncommon Schools’ curriculum and support student success across grades and subjects in urban charter settings. Responsibilities include implementing curricula to meet high academic standards, analyzing assessment data to inform differentiated instruction, fostering a positive learning environment aligned with core values, communicating effectively with students, families, and colleagues, participating in annual orientation and ongoing instructional training, and supporting grade-level and school-wide activities. Qualifications emphasize a Bachelor's degree, evidence of commitment to urban youth, mastery of relevant subjects, self-motivation and teamwork, and, for experienced teachers, a track record of achievement and MA educator license or MTEL SEI endorsement (with SEI endorsement required within the first year for ELs). The compensation range for the role is $71,000 to $116,000 plus comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a college or university before employment begins
- Cumulative GPA 2.75 or higher by employment start
- All Commonwealth charter teachers must either have an appropriate MA educator’s license or pass MTELs including the Communications and Literacy MTEL, Subject Specific MTEL, and the MTEL SEI Endorsement within first year of employment
- SEI endorsement required within first year of employment for ELs
- MTEL and SEI endorsements are required or helpful as noted in the posting
