Job Summary
Special Education Teacher needed to develop and monitor accommodations for students with special needs in a high-impact urban charter-school network. Responsibilities include differentiating and teaching an inclusive curriculum, collaborating with families and Special Education teams to develop 504 plans and IEPs, creating a safe and empowering classroom environment, and delivering pull-out, push-in, small group, and one-on-one instruction while differentiating instruction for all learners. The role involves analyzing student work and assessments, writing annual IEP-related goals, engaging in practice-based professional development, mentoring, and participating in weekly school-wide meetings to support student achievement. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- MA state certification requirements or MTELs for Special Education (Moderate Disabilities) as applicable
- Special Education license or equivalent issued by MA or another state OR approved undergraduate/graduate program in special education
- pass state teacher certification tests to meet MA state requirements if hired
