Job Summary
The Multilingual Learner (MLL) Teacher will co-teach with English and/or History teachers, support SEI strategies, participate in IEP meetings for English Learners, manage MLL compliance, engage families, design and implement assessments to track progress in language acquisition, participate in curriculum development, and collaborate with school leadership and colleagues to ensure high expectations and core-values adherence. The role emphasizes urban public/charter-school experience, ESL/ELL licensing requirements for ESL teachers, and ongoing professional growth within Uncommon Schools’ collaborative environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Master’s degree preferred
- Valid State Certification helpful but not required
- ESL license/endorsement prior to first day for ESL teachers
- Two years urban teaching experience preferred
