Job Summary
Provide direct and indirect nursing care to assigned patients in the Neuro Trauma/Intensive Care Unit using the nursing process. Administer medications and IVs safely while maintaining a therapeutic environment for patients, families, and coworkers. Communicate clearly with the multidisciplinary team, co-workers, and patients to ensure accurate information transfer and evaluate understanding. Assume responsibility for patient education processes and build collaborative relationships to improve the patient experience. Work 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. shifts three times weekly, reporting to work in inclement weather. Requires a BSN, Texas RN license, and 12 months of ICU experience.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
- BSN
- Current license to practice professional nursing in the state of Texas
- Current Basic Life Support Certification
- Minimum 12 months RN experience in ICU or completion of ICU Nurse Residency Program
