Job Summary
Entry level 4th Shift Machine Operator responsible for operating CNC and other machine centers on weekend days. Duties include loading/removing parts, visual quality inspection, grinding flashings and imperfections, assembling components to complete parts, maintaining a safe, clean work environment, documenting production/quality actions, and collaborating with team to complete related tasks. Must have basic computer skills, ability to use hand-held gauges for part inspection, handle repetitive motion, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs; weekend 12-hour shifts Fri-Sat-Sun 6:45am–6:45pm with 36 hours paid as 40. Must be able to work overtime as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Load and remove parts from machines
- Visually inspect parts for quality defects
- Use grinding equipment to clean flashing and imperfections
- Assemble several components to produce a complete part
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Document actions by completing production and quality forms
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks while working with others
- Must have basic computer skills
- Must be able to operate small handheld tools
- Must be able to visually inspect machined parts and gauge them with hand-held gauges
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be able to work weekend shift and overtime as needed
