4th Grade Teacher - 1.0 FTE at R.F. Pettigrew Elementary

Provide instruction to 4th-grade students and plan instructional tasks aligned to the district curriculum. Adapt teaching to meet diverse learning needs, maintain a positive classroom environment, assess student learning, and communicate clear learning goals. Use technology to enhance learning and participate in ongoing professional growth. Requires a bachelor’s degree with endorsements and a valid South Dakota teaching certificate; alternative certification is available with the required preliminary certification. This is a 1.0 FTE, 40 hours/week position for 9 months with a salary of $53,981-$60,793 per year, and a schedule of Monday–Friday, 7:30 am–4:00 pm. Duties include implementing district curriculum, maintaining effective classroom management, conducting parent-teacher conferences, and ensuring compliance with district policies. A Youth Suicide Awareness and Prevention training requirement is noted, with specific approved trainings listed by the SD DOE.
