Job Summary
Teach 4th Grade Math and Science at Dunbar Middle School. Develop and implement lesson plans aligned to district curriculum; prepare lessons with accommodations for individual differences; use appropriate instructional strategies, materials, and technology; assess student learning and adjust instruction; collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula per IEPs; manage classroom behavior; supervise instructional aide(s) and volunteers; support extracurricular activities; communicate professionally with parents and community; participate in staff development and adhere to district/school regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for subject and level assigned
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree; Texas teaching certificate with endorsements or training for subject and level assigned
- Experience: One-year student teaching or approved internship
