Job Summary
Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula while delivering rigorous grade-level content and adjusting instruction based on weekly formative and summative assessments. Maintain a "Common Board" configuration, submit weekly content plans, and communicate student progress to families weekly. Execute classroom behavior management systems and lead Multi-Tiered Systems of Support by documenting interventions and collaborating with the MTSS Team. Report student learning trends through data huddles and analysis meetings, and participate in weekly manager check-ins, grade-level meetings, and professional development. Expect a minimum of 40+ hours at school per week, with opportunities for after-school tutoring or Saturday school for additional compensation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution
- Existing Ohio professional teacher certification
- Expert-level knowledge of core academic subject(s) assigned
- Knowledge of pedagogical best practices, curriculum, and instruction
- Strong ability to build student engagement and manage student behavior through positive reinforcement, restorative practices, and least invasive techniques
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adjust and adapt to a multitude of situations in the school environment
- High level of content-area proficiency as evidenced by teaching certification, field of study, or work-experience
- Minimum of 40+ hours spent at school per week

Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a K-12 classroom setting
