Job Summary
Bilingual 4th Grade Teacher responsible for planning, guiding, and evaluating student learning within Catholic education. Responsibilities include developing two-week lesson plans using backward planning, delivering standards-based instruction in English and Spanish, using formative and summative assessments to drive instruction, maintaining accurate records, communicating with parents, and supporting Catholic faith formation. Requires collaboration with staff, adaptability to change, proficiency with educational technology (e.g., Google Drive, Smart Board), and a willingness to lead clubs or enrichment activities. Ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree, be a practicing Catholic in good standing, and demonstrate strong planning, communication, and classroom-management skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited American University or the equivalent
- Bilingual and biliterate in English and Spanish
- Evidence of successful experience and desire to work with children
- Reliable: Arrives to work on time and has a history of great attendance
- Able to complete religion certification per the guidelines of the Catholic Schools Office
