Job Summary
Maintain a safe work environment by caring for, controlling, and operating thermal fluid heaters, auxiliary equipment, water treatment systems, and mechanical refiners. Monitor and operate various computer-controlled remote systems while working in both control room and production floor environments. Perform quality control testing, reporting, and data logging to ensure operational standards. This role requires a valid fourth-class power engineering designation and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting. Located in Alberta communities near Edmonton or Jasper, West Fraser is one of the world's largest producers of sustainable wood-based building products.
Required Qualifications
- A valid fourth-class power engineering designation, including firing time
- Proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated problem-solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills
