Job Summary
The Reynoldsburg City Schools’ Elementary Teacher will foster a nurturing, safe, and inclusive classroom focusing on Science of Reading implementation, explicit Tier 1 and Tier 2 instruction, and whole-child development through PBIS and community building. Responsibilities include planning and delivering explicit ELA (Phonics, Fluency, Comprehension) and Math instruction aligned with Ohio Learning Standards, conducting small-group interventions, integrating SEL via daily community meetings and the RISE framework, administering and analyzing benchmark assessments (KRA, MAP, Acadience), tracking progress with Reading Improvement and Monitoring Plans, providing meaningful feedback, maintaining records in PowerSchool, and managing a PBIS-centered classroom with active supervision. Knowledge and skills required include foundational literacy, child development, FERPA compliance, data analysis, instructional technology, differentiation, and the ability to differentiate for EL and students with IEP/504 plans; strong communication with families is expected. Physical demands include movement through a classroom and potential exposure to typical school environments; driving between district buildings may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or related field
- Valid Ohio Teaching License (P-5 or K-8)
- Proper endorsements for subject area (e.g., Reading, TESOL) as required by the State of Ohio
